Pastoral Staff
Brian R. Hardee, Pastor

I came to Rock Creek Bible Church as pastor in 2000. I had been aware of God's blessing upon this community of believers since the 1980's. It is exciting to be directly involved with this ministry. I am a graduate of both Calvary Bible College in Kansas City, MO, and Moody Bible Institute of Chicago.
I became a follower of Jesus Christ at a very young age. My age didn't keep me from understanding I was lost in sin apart from God forgiving me. I came to recognize that Christ's death was the payment for my wrongs and that God forgave me when I placed my trust in Christ as my personal Savior. From that time God has been revealing more and more of just how much He did for me. I am truly grateful to Him.
At the core of my philosophy of ministry is an abiding belief in God's grace. This means that God is the one who brings lasting change, and we respond to His work in our lives by faith coated in thanks to Him. I have learned about this grace of God in the pages of scripture so the Bible is going to be at the center of our teaching, decisions, and focus
God has really used other people to help me grow, and I think God's community - the church - can help you grow. I want Rock Creek Bible Church to be a caring community of people committed to their own growth and their influence in helping others grow.
There are a number of hobbies and activities I really enjoy pursuing. Hunting, golf, bicylcing to name a few. I write about them on my blog that is listed in the left column. Drop me an e-mail if you have a question or stop by the church building some time and visit.
Ron Krestan, Worship Leader

I am starting my seventh year as a part time worship leader at Rock Creek Bible Church. I have been blessed by the heart this church has for worship. This flock combines a hunger for God's revealed truth through diligent Bible study with a genuine love for Jesus. It is our desire to worship both in spirit and in truth.
As a young child I placed my confidence in Christ alone for salvation from sin. God has used my family, His Church, and a Christian education to prepare me to serve Him through music. I also serve my Lord as a teacher and administrator at Veritas Christian School in Lawrence. I teach in the science, math & Bible classes
God has called His people to worship Him for all eternity. We use a mixture of hymns and contemporary choruses to focus our attention on Christ. Man's creativity in music is a reflection of the image of God in us. But God demands that the content of our worship be His revealed truth. At Rock Creek Bible Church we strive to use a variety of musical genres while never compromising Biblical truth with the lyrics. A team of talented people assist me in leading worship. To worship our Creator and Redeemer in spirit and in truth is our eternal purpose.

I have now been at Rock Creek Bible Church for over three years. It has been a blessing to work with this church. When you work with youth, you have to be aware of the delicate balance between the teen culture and God's Kingdom. The teens of today have a culture that is different than even when I was their age in the late 90's. We can't banish the culture of today and expect the teens to want to be part of the Kingdom. However, the opposite is true as well. We can't hold on to the pop culture and expect that the lives of the teens will be changed through the media and their peers. We have to find the good in the culture and use that as an avenue to implement the Word of God into the teens lives.
The Project 96 Youth Ministries of RCBC are geared to use different sorts of media and technology to create an exciting atmosphere where the teens can learn about the Word of God. We strive to reach all teens. We have a Jr. High program for grades 7 and 8 on Wednesday evenings. This is where the junior highers can feel free to exert the pent up energy from the week as they look into God's Word. For the senior highers we have two programs each week for them. Sr. High is on Sunday evenings and is a more relaxed atmosphere filled with games, God's Word, and chillaxing. On Wednesday evenings we offer a Sr. High Bible study which is an hour long in depth study of the Word.
I came to a saving relationship with Christ at a very young age. I was blessed to belong to a great church growing up that ultimately led me to a desire to serve God through ministry. I got my degree in Youth Ministry at Tabor College and have been in full or part time ministry for the past 10 years. My wife, Angie, and I live in Ozawkie with our 15 month old boy, Asher. We enjoy long strolls along Sioux Drive and global warming. Our son Asher enjoys being held by all and to show his love for them, he leaves them a nice white souvenir.
